Getting So Big!!

Cam had his two month check up today and boy is this kid growing! He weighs 13 pounds exactly which put him between the 50th and 75th percentile. His height however, was not as "average". Our little man is still a little vertically challenged at 21 1/4 inches (below the 5th percentile). It's not his fault, he comes from a line of shorties, but here's to hoping he sprouts soon!

The doctor was impressed with his head control and said he was very advanced... performing at a four-month level! She said that means he's going to be a good roller, and good rollers are good sleepers... from her mouth to God's ears! She said he looked perfect and said to keep doing what we were doing, so that's what we will do!

Poor kid got his first round of vaccinations today. He cried so hard he was holding his breath until he turned purple. The nurse had to blow on him to get him to breathe... it was heartbreaking to watch, but he was a trooper and is now peacefully asleep.

Cam has been growing so much lately. He started grabbing my hair yesterday (HARD!) and this morning he held onto a toy by himself for the first time. Kid's got a grip!

He's also been smiling and cooing a lot more lately. He's so funny because he'll "talk" back to us when we interact with him now. It's adorable and melts my heart every time. He even cracked a giggle this morning while playing in Mommy and Daddy's bed.

He's also become quite the mover! Cam has started kicking his legs and shaking his arms in delight... especially when playing on his play mat and when listening to music. Here's a little clip of the guy in action...

It is so fun watching him grow each day. It's also so wonderful to see him happy when he's awake.. makes the last 9 weeks of doctor's visits, phone calls and constant worry all worth it. Keep up the good work, buddy!
